HMS carabiner with safety lock to avoid accidental crossload. The Smart HMS is all about safety and handling. The screw lock can only be operated when the safety lock is open. This prevents accidental opening and unintentional twisting of the carabiner in the safety circuit of the harness, excluding the risk of a dangerous crossloading of the carabiner. Mammut recommends the use of Smart HMS for Smart 2.0.
