Ortovox Trad 35

Lightweight and versatile climbing backpack for alpine activities

With only 980 grams TRAD 35 is the featherweight of climbing backpacks. Despite the lightness equipped with many important features such as the emergency rescue system: a Recco reflector integrated in the backpack allows, in combination with a new SAR 1 rescue system, to quickly find injured or missing people.

The backpack is also equipped with an aluminum frame, light and very flexible, which can also be taken out in case of need.
Those who want to further reduce weight can also take out the abdominal belt.
Access to the main compartment is very simple thanks to a perimeter hinge or the innovative lid opening.

Of course, the attachment options for rope and ice ax, the preparation for the hydration system and the graphic representation of the Alpine emergency signals cannot be missing.

Rescue rescue system

Recco's SAR 1 rescue system is a detector that relies on helicopters with which it is possible to search large areas in a very short time looking for injured people. The precondition for safety is a small reflector integrated into the climbing backpacks of the TRAD series. This ensures the greatest protection and a quick search regardless of the season. The SAR 1 system is already in operation in many regions.

Back structure: HIGH FLEX CONTACT

The back structure of this climbing backpack is characterized by a light removable aluminum frame and a coupling system in contact with the body. The frame is extremely flexible, but on the horizontal plane it is rigid, to support as much weight as possible. Thanks to the three-dimensional shape, the backpack adapts perfectly to the back, guaranteeing extreme freedom of movement and comfort of use.
