Born from heart to heart with our best BD athletes in traditional climbing Hazel Findlay, Carlo Traversi, Sam Elias and Babsi Zangerl, the Camalot Z4 is the fulfillment of a dream: to have a single rod cam that stays stiff in the hand, but does flexes once positioned. Here, the patent pending RigidFlex stem.
Thanks to the independent trigger wires that float, the Camalot Z4 does not bend when under tension and retracted, but once positioned it allows the stem to move, ensuring a positioning that remains stationary and does not walk when pulled in direction. The stem on the larger sizes also uses a double twisted cord construction which provides uniform flex in all directions, while the single cord construction is implemented on smaller sizes to avoid instability when pressing hard on the trigger and to reduce the profile of the trigger.

Featuring a similar head width to the older Camalot C3, but with 4 lobes that are sandblasted for better holding power, the Camalot Z4 are not only an upgrade, but smaller sizes are also available, starting with # 0, the our smallest cam ever, up to .75

The new standard when it comes to single stem cams, the Camalot Z4 features our revolutionary RigidFlex stem design, which as the name suggests, stays stiff during placement, but flexes when climbing further, ensuring easy handling and less walking for a solid positioning you can count on.
