DMM - Deadman Red

There are situations where the only anchor available is snow. In these situations, the Deadman allows you to replace and improve the classic use of the ice ax as a rest anchor thanks to the wider surface that improves resistance.

Used in snow-covered gullies, or in progressing on steep slopes or under eaves before crossing, the Deadman creates protection out of thin air and increases safety where otherwise it is not possible to protect yourself.

The large surface creates good resistance even on soft snow

The Deadman's large surface resists pulling in the snow more effectively than an ice ax. This makes it the best option in soft snow conditions, where almost nothing else would provide safety.

Lightening holes reduce weight

The Deadman features holes that reduce weight while maintaining performance. This means Deadman won't weigh you down on the mountain where it could make the difference between having some protection and no protection.

Stainless steel plate

A stainless steel plate placed on the head of the Deadman protects it from damage when hammered in the snow and resists the corrosion of the wet winter environment.

Sturdy 4mm galvanized steel cable

A steel wire ring allows the Deadman to be buried deep under the snow while maintaining an accessible and strong attachment point.
