Camp - Ball Nut

The right protectors for the grumpiest crevices. Invented in 1987 by John Middendorf and initially called Lowe Balls, Ball Nuts are the true secret weapon of climbers on trad and aid routes. In fact, these are small marvels that are not afraid of the thinnest cracks with parallel faces, where the only alternative would be to hammer in the nails. They are also ideal in "pin scars" (holes caused by continuous nailing and nailing) and in those small concavities where even modern microcams can do nothing. In summary: given their extreme lightness, the most expert trad enthusiasts should always have at least one pair of Ball Nuts with them (e.g. numbers 2 and 3).
