Cassin - X-Dream Alpine 2020 model with new mixed blades
X-Dream is the tool that makes the dream of having two ice axes in one come true, with all the ideal features for ice, mixed and dry-tooling.
The Alpine version comes standard with some accessories for a more mountaineering use: the Ice blade and the hammer make it the ideal choice for north faces, goulottes and mixed routes at high altitude.
The handle with tip guarantees greater stability when the ice ax is used in vertical support, while the X-Trigger Fast optimizes use on terrain of any angle.
With the X-Dream Alpine it's like having two ice axes in one. Versatility is guaranteed by the interchangeable blades and above all by the patented variable angle handle: a masterpiece of ergonomics in ultra-resistant material even at the lowest temperatures. A simple Allen key, included in the package, allows you to quickly vary the angle of the handle and the blade from the vertical, taking the X-Dream Alpine from Ice to Dry configuration.
The Ice configuration, with angles of 48 ° and 100 ° respectively, ensures a more natural strike and extraordinary penetration while the Dry configuration, with angles of 60 ° and 105 ° (more closed geometry), guarantees greater downward traction allowing the most complex hooks and ensuring exceptional grip comfort in suspensions.
At the handle level, the special interchangeable and reversible X-Finger Small and X-Finger Large inserts allow micrometric adjustment at the index finger, while the X-Rest insert allows you to reduce the length of the hilt by 5 mm. The blades, characterized by the exceptional penetration that has always distinguished CASSIN tools, guarantee excellent performance even on rock: the standard Ice blade is optimized for a more precise and effective strike; the Mixte blade is the most versatile and the Race and Total Dry blades, mounted in combination with the X-Dream handle without tip, are the non plus ultra for mixed, extreme dry-tooling and competitions.
