Beal - ICE Line Dry 8.1 mm
The rope designed for ice. Its performance certainly makes it the ideal rope to tackle an icefall.
The very low impact force allows us to stress our safety chain as little as possible, and the Golden Dry treatment allows us to have a rope almost immune to the impregnating action of water.
The fineness of the rope gives the latter exceptional versatility, but also requires the adoption of a specific belay technique. It is in the Golden Dry version that this exceptional string provides the best performance. Used with 2 60m ropes, it allows you to "look for" the stops, but also to keep a sufficient length even if you cut the ends of the rope following a crampon or ice ax blow.
STRENGTHS : - The weight and versatility of a twin rope with the added benefits of a half rope. - Ultra-low impact force. - The rope does not undergo swelling and remains flexible over time. - It has all the advantages of UNICORE technology |
